Prevent children from opening the test standard (ASTM D3475)
In 1970, the U.S. congress passed the dangerous goods packaging act, which authorized the U.S. consumer product safety commission to regulate product packaging safety standards. The test was conducted with astm-dstandard classification for children's safety packaging, the latest product packaging safety standard of the consumer product safety commission of the United States, and the test report was issued.
Certification process:
Prepare the application form, provide the product information and evaluate it
Prepare samples for testing
After the test is complete, evaluate the test data

Test purpose: prevent children from opening the package
Astm-d3475 test requirements:
First: the age distribution of 200 children is required
30 per cent of 60 persons aged between 42 and 44 months in each group;
40 per cent of 80 persons aged 45-48 months in each group;
Each group had 30 percent of 60 people aged 49 to 51 months.
Age algorithm for children: those who are less than 15 days are counted as less than one month, those who are 15 days or more are counted as one month.
Note: the proportion of boys and girls in each age group should not exceed 10%
Second: the age distribution of 200 adults is required
30% of each group aged between 50 and 54;
40 percent of 25 people aged 55 to 59 in each group;
30 percent of the 50 people in each group aged between 60 and 70;
Male to female ratamong which girls aged 50-54 years between 17 and 18.
Astm-d3475 test items:
1. The first five minutes were opened freely by children, and the number of opened and unopened were counted;
2. Adults open it in front of children, and then count the number of free and unopened children within 10 minutes of loading it.

The significance of astm-d3475 testing

The design principle of anti-opening "safety cover" : "set the lid of packaging food, medicine, cosmetics, chemicals and other materials to inside and outside two layers. If only apply force to rotate the outer layer, the lid cannot be opened. In case of opening the lid, the outer cover needs to be pressed under the bottle body with force, and at the same time, the inner cover can be driven to rotate to open the lid successfully. Because such opening involves applying force in two directions, it makes it more difficult for children to open the lid, thus improving the safety effect.
